Welcome to the official website of the World & European Brass Association - WBA & EBA

Our Goals and purposes in cooperation with the International Society for Arts, Education and Cultural Exchange e.V. and the Werner & Marlene Schöder Foundation

Our goal is the protection of the cultural heritage and the cultural education for improvement of social conditions for children & adults of different origins, education, and social backgrounds in terms of equal opportunities and peaceful coexistence in national/international contexts. The purpose is to connect individuals & cultures with music across borders and language barriers as soft power diplomacy. Cultural competencies empower softskills and help building fair and sustainable societies. Our students are led to give something back to "the world" by carrying out projects and contributing to WBA Benefit Projects.

The World & European Brass Association (WBA & EBA) is a cooperation of world wide and European Festivals, Universities, Orchestras, Opera- and Concert Houses, Music Institutions, Musicians etc., founded by Prof. Otto Sauter in cooperation with leading international brass musicians and professors, focussing on the needs of brass music today.

Worldwide the situation for professional musicians changed in the last years because of the modifications on the cultural market. In a time when even orchestra positions are not save any more and orchestras have difficulties to find highly qualified young musicians in brass music, the requirements for professional musicians are increasing continuously.

The aim of the WBA & EBA is to build up a world-wide sustainable musical education system for all brass instruments from amateurs to students and professional musicians with masterclasses, workshops, concerts etc...
